11/19/2023 0 Comments Phoenix arizona resorts![]() The pools, yes, pools, were each beautiful and clean. Everyone to whom we spoke was kind, respectful and accommodating. Our request for extra pillows and towels were filled and kept every day in our amazingly large, clean, cool and comfortable room overlooking the pools and mountains. No worries-after a fix attempt we were moved to another beautiful room where our package was waiting. I was advised we could and upon check in worked with the concierge to find the item. To begin I had called the resort prior to arrival to see if we could have some bulky items delivered there to aid in moving my son into his new apartment for his junior year at ASU. There's so much more that could be done to offer a communal feel with all the open space. It would be fun to offer carts with someone selling the ingredients for s'mores (like they do at Palmetto Bluff) by the fire pits. Suggestions for the property-there is a lot of open lawn space which would be well-served by communal fire pits with seating for friends and families to gather (similar to Ojai Valley Inn). She was able to join us each morning for breakfast on the patio at Mowry and Cotton and for one dinner there as well.Ĭoncierge was lovely and always offered dog treats and "poop" bags whenever they saw us! It was great that our medium sized dog was welcomed with a healthy ($175) additional fee. It was too cold to use the pool, but it looked great with a huge slide for kids. Housekeeping was great and included turn down service. Male and female locker room areas with wet and dry saunas as well as jacuzzis.Ģ small issues in our room- Took a long time for hot water to come to the faucets and whenever the heater came on there was an incessant clicking but no other complaints. The spa was beautiful and we had great massages. Beautiful tennis courts and pickle ball courts as well as a great golf course and driving range. The gym was large, clean and very well equipped. It was great that we could park our car right in back of our room and that we had a lovely patio with a fire pit and grassy area. Highly recommend a "fire table" casita (we had room 7108). Just returned from a really nice 3 night stay. ![]() We used the hotel contracted car service in the beginning which was expensive and slow but the local Uber drivers were very reliable. An outdoor activity like a small mini golf course would’ve been nice. Most of the rooms in the evening had on the TV which seems a shame in such a nice resort. ![]() If you are coming here with children I would keep this in mind and bring some games to entertain them. We ended up ordering one dish of ice cream from room service which cost over $20 with the delivery fee. The nearby trailhead to Camelback is also closed There is no place at all in the evening to get a quick snack or dessert. We tried to use the bicycles one evening but these were also locked up. Several times we tried to use the fitness center but this was also closed when we went. The resort is fairly isolated and there is nowhere to go within walking distance. It would’ve been nice to soak in a hot tub in the evening. The only downside of staying here is that there is absolutely nothing to do in the evening after dinner except to walk around the resort. The hot tubs however were all closed due to Covid. The outdoor pools were heated and the service was very good. The cactus garden in the back at the base of Camelback Mountain is well-maintained.
